This was a photo I took one morning of the side of my bed. I have an interest for interesting light patterns and I thought the way the surrounding area was still completely dark was intriguing

Paper Still Life

I was tasked with painting a paper still life, I didn't want my objects to look like paper, I wanted them to be a bit more architectural. I did however add in the highlights on the sides of the paper and the light reflected off the base.

My class was given written instructions on how to paint our individual spaces, I thought that this was going to be how it turned out, but due to my error, the final painting turned out much different than I expected, so I went back and painted this, how I thought it should look.
